Chris Bailward is finally off to Berlin on his bike. He planned to go in 2020 but Covid took care of that and, instead he circumnavigated Wales. Travelling abroad in 2021 was still unwise so he cycled from John O’Groats to Lands End. Finally in 2022 all looks fair for a 900 mile trip through France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany, visiting the battlefields of Northern France and Belgium, the historic cites of Cologne, Leipzig and Dresden and culminating in a three day sightseeing tour of Berlin and Potsdam before returning by car. He starts on 21st September with an 80 mile ride to Portsmouth to catch a ferry to Ouistreham in France. Follow his journey daily at bailward.co.uk
