Defibrillator crew needed

You may not realise it, but Horsington Has a defibrillator. It dramatically improves the survival prospects of anyone who has a heart attack or a stroke in the village, as treatment has to be immediate.

It operates as a key part of the Village Emergency Telephone system, (VETS), which is designed to summon help in a medical emergency. Stick the number on your fridge – 01963 602500. It will summon trained first aiders and people who know how to use the defibrillator.

VETS, is organised by Steve Miles. He urgently needs more volunteers for the team. Please consider volunteering. Training on Resuscitation and use of the Defibrillator will be given by an outside trainer. No previous first aid training is necessary. Please contact Stephen Miles –freshford632@gmail.com or telephone 01963 370823 Mobile: 07825751636.
