Thanks to Penny Nagle, who contacted us, we have news of the Fete-or at least a small part of it.
Penny is running a “Vintage and Egg” sale this Saturday at the Fete. 100% of proceeds will go to the school. Two parts of this:
(1) Please bring in for Friday : –
– anything good and second hand that you think will sell (this includes books, clothes, earthenware, furniture)
– any eggs (there is a nice side line in eggs for sale she feels)
– any other produce that you think will sell – Penny has 10 x bags of home grown, organic mixed salad leaves (mizuna, rocket, pak choi, mibuna). So anything else that is ready and good to go – rhubarb, honey, small bale hay bales. If it’s perishable find Penny on the day.
2) Silent Auction for 2 x Cinema Tickets to see David Suchet in the award winning “Importance of Being Earnest” on Wednesday 29th June at 19.00. The auction will be running on Saturday afternoon and the winner will be announced at 5pm by text. All proceeds of course to the school.
So there you are – these two, plus the pond presentation are reason enough to go. But we are sure there is plenty more going on.
But don’t ell the editor! He’s going on holiday. Ed
