This event will start on Friday evening with a tasting preview in the skittle alley of the Half Moon at 8pm. This is your chance to sample a small glass of each beer, comment on its attributes and vote for the best.
The event proper will start at 2 pm on Saturday, and continue for as long as the beer lasts. Andrew Tarling has collected a wonderful selection of specially brewed “Jubilee ales” from local brewers. Should be great fun. Don’t bring your car.
The cost is a recession-busting £3.00 per pint. Or a deeply discounted £10.00 for 4 pints. Or a staggering £15.00 for a day pass, where you can drink as much as you like. Fabulous.
If delicious real ale is not your thing, the Half Moon Bar will be open for the whole weekend,(including Monday) for the usual fayre of food and drink.
