Nearly 300 tickets have been sold for the Horsington and South Cheriton Jubilee Street Party, which promises to be a great event. It’s not too late to book if you want to come, but the organisers need to know by Friday at 6pm in order to ensure there is enough to eat and drink. The road will be closed, but there will be disabled access only to the pub car park. The best advice is to walk.
The event kicks off at 12 noon with a Jubilee peal of bells from the parish church.
Please try to be seated as early as possible so that the event can run smoothly.
There will be a beef and hog roast. You are welcome to bring you own wine, although a drink from the pub is included in the price, and the bar is open all afternoon.
The legendary band “The Rattlin Boys” will be playing some old rock n’ roll favourites, backed up by Bragatanga, who feature regularly at the Half Moon.
