The Blog sends greetings to Andy and Justine at the White Horse, South Cheriton, who celbrate 3 years at this excellent local pub.<\/p>\n\n\n

With pubs closing all around us (The Old Inn at Holton was the latest to go), the “White” remains an oasis of good beer, wine and food for anyone wanting a good night our locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They have invested massively in a new kitchen and refurbished the old skittle alley into a dining and performance area. They kept open during the lockdown, at considerable personal cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pub opens duringthe day from Thursday to Sunday, and in the evening from Wednesday to Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food is served at lunchtime on Thursday, Friday and Sunday and on Wednesday to Saturday evenings (6-8.30)pm. Sunday lunch is available from 12-3. Thursday is burger night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a popular quiz on the second Sunday of every month. The next one is this Sunday , 9 October. Teams of up to 5, \u00a31 a head, and the winning team takes the pot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
