The\n\u201cHorsington Open\u201d is back in September. This annual fun golf tournament in aid\nof local charities <\/strong>will be played at Henstridge Golf Club<\/strong> <\/strong><\/a>onSaturday September 7th 2019. Last year they raised over \u00a31000 for St\nMargaret\u2019s Hospice and Wincanton Live at Home. Can they do better this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 9-hole competition is open to all comers. Ladies and\nnon-handicappers are welcome. Entry is just \u00a315 per player, including green\nfees. Individuals and teams of up to 4 can enter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prize (as befits an \u201cOpen\u201d) is a claret jug, plus many other\nprizes generously donated by local businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The field normally includes some really good golfers, some\ndesperately bad golfers, many ladies and several beginners. The result is\nnormally a cliff-hanger, and it\u2019s always fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
