Attention all golfers<\/strong> (and aspirant golfers) at all levels. Put Monday 27th<\/sup> October in your diary. It\u2019s the date of second charity HORSINGTON OPEN<\/strong> golf tournament, to be played at Folke Golf Centre, near Sherborne, a 20-minute drive away from Horsington. The tournament is a 9-hole 4-ball competition.<\/p>\n

As the title implies, it is open to all, including ladies and non handicappers. The entry fee is \u00a312.50 per player and the proceeds will be donated to local charities.<\/p>\n

Tee off is from 10 am.\u00a0 The prize giving will be at the Half Moon at 6.30 when the coveted Claret Jug trophy will be awarded to the winner. There will be plenty of other prizes.<\/p>\n

There will also be a raffle in aid of the charities.<\/p>\n

You will be welcomed with coffee and a bacon roll, and a light lunch will be available to those requiring it.<\/p>\n

If you would like to sponsor a golf prize or donate a raffle prize please contact Richard Gaunt<\/a>, who is organising the competition with George Wagland and Phil Bennett.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s event was a great success, despite the weather, and the organisers look forward to welcoming old friends and new at the tournament.<\/p>\n
