The Half Moon on Tuesdays is unusually quiet, as 20-odd dedicated players settle down to a game of Bridge. There are all comers, from raw beginners, through social \u201ckitchen bridge\u201d players, \u00a0to gimlet-eyed, stern-faced professionals.<\/p>\n
The evening is very relaxed, and newcomers to the game are put at their ease and helped by the roving \u201cdummy\u201d players. You are allowed to make mistakes \u2013 at least on some tables.<\/p>\n
The proceedings are helped by the Half Moon\u2019s \u201cTwo for a Tenner\u201d curry night, which allows a welcome break.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s room for more, of any standard. Look at the TV schedules \u2013 it\u2019s a no-brainer.<\/p>\n
